Calcification

Calcification happens when calcium builds up in body tissue, it can occur in almost any part of the body. This build up can harden and disrupt your body’s normal processes.
Some calcium build up is harmless. These deposits are believed to be the body’s response to inflammation, injury, or certain biological processes. However, some calcifications can disrupt the normal function of the body. Physiotherapy can be helpful in breaking down calcium deposits in joints, muscles and tendons, thus reducing symptoms.
